In July 2017, the Loretto Community voted to begin the civil incorporation process for an organization that would dedicate it's existence to continuing Loretto's commitment to justice and peace for years to come.
"We are being called to something new...This is a time of evolution. It's a time of letting go and letting in, a time of pain and of joy, a time when religious calling will be very different from the life we have known. We have to figure out how to respond to that urge to move forward," said Loretto co-member Kim Klein in her speech about the new non-profit, temporarily called LInc in its first year of existence, shorthand for Loretto Incorporated. In July 2018, membership voted to change the name to Loretto Link.
Loretto Link is built on the foundations of feminist leadership with a non-hierarchical, democratic structure. With its 118 members, Loretto Link is continuing to develop its governing principles and guiding values. As the organization takes form, it will seek to give voice to all.
