Loretto Link Advocacy in Action
Loretto Link is committed to the Loretto Community values of “working for justice” and “acting for peace.” Most recently, we worked with the Peace Committee of the Loretto Community to place an ad in the National Catholic Reporter condemning the genocide in Gaza. Previously, we have given money to organizations providing bail for detained migrants. We have participated in demonstrations and other actions around immigration reform, dismantling white supremacy, and addressing other oppressions. We have also had work parties at the Motherhouse and sent groups of volunteers to the US/Mexico border.
Below are some recent examples of Advocacy in Action.
Loretto Community and Loretto Link offer joint statement on Gaza
The Loretto Community and Loretto Link condemn Israel’s ongoing genocide in Palestine and call on all people of conscience to engage in whatever ways possible to make clear to our elected officials that we demand an immediate resumption of food and medical supplies into Gaza, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and the ending of U.S. arms shipments to Israel.
